I couldn't resist sending you an email to say how much I love and appreciate your cafe in Dover. Since the opening, it has become our favourite place to eat, drink or simply chill out over a cup of coffee. I have found your staff to be extremely helpful and friendly. The place is an oasis of peace, the music is always carefully selected to create the right ambiance and I always seem to find an excuse, be it lunch, a stop during shopping time or even an outing in town, just so that I get to visit the "Green Cafe" - as my 5 year old calls it. Even the little lady has decided that if she wants a treat it has to be La Salle Verte, her favourite place and she has defintely seen a few cafes in her very young age but none as friendy, none as tempting! La Salle Verte is definitely my preferred cafe in town and, in fact so far there is none other to have impressed me so much.. and each of my friends or family visiting Dover will soon be shown the little emerald in town... La Salle Verte. The food is great, the cakes are tempting and the menu so varied I always wonder which one to chose.. the pesto salad, the equally tempting toasted sandwhich, the decadent chocalate cake, the delicious pastries.. it caters for all! Whether you want a traditional tea and a scone or a more innovative latte and panini, whether you love herbal tea or classical coffee I couldn't recommend a better place than La Salle Verte. Bon Apetit! |

A truly exceptional and I must say cafe with a difference, Haydn used both flair and imagination when planning his café, its not about selling coffee to customers, its more creating a friendly atmosphere for customers to relax and chat over a, and I might add, cup of delicious coffee, very few cafes seem to aim for standards of this level these days, La Salle verte has surpassed and achieved both high quality food and drink but added high quality service to. The staff are never to busy to stop and have a chat, they are polite and always helpful no matter what the request might be. We find ourselves unable to walk past without popping in for a drink and a chat, well done La Salle verte, Haydn, Diane and the staff.

Visiting Dover on business last week I was taken to La Salle Verte for lunch. What a fantastic establishment. Superb coffee and fantastic food. I was introduced to Haydn and Diane the owners who are obviously passionate about what they do. I sampled the Cottage Pie which was excellent and beautifully presented, so unusual in this day and age of disposables. The cakes were to die for so I settled for a chocolate twist. Definitely the right decision. The coffee was without doubt the best I have ever encountered, and Haydn the owner, explained the coffeeʼs had been carefully selected with expert assistance from The Kent Coffee Company. This little gem of a coffee shop is without doubt one of Dovers best kept secrets but for how long I wonder. The ambience was so delightful I was reluctant to leave to continue my meeting. Not only will I be returning as soon as possible I will be recommending La Salle Verte to all my friends. Good Luck.

Wow a café that finally brings Dover up to par! After being away from Dover for some time & having just moved back a couple of months ago a friend took me to La Salle Verte for lunch & I couldn’t have been more pleasantly surprised! Needless to say I have made numerous visits since! The café is wonderfully clean, atmosphere relaxed with remarkable cakes to die for! Every staff member I’ve seen seems to have job satisfaction as the attention to detail with every purchase I’ve made is second to none & they are all so friendly, nothing seems too much trouble. There’s a choice of two outside sitting areas, the streetside tables if you want to watch the world go by or the quieter courtyard at the rear of the café. Thank you for bringing some standards back to our town!
